On the 28th November 2009, Awesome Walls, Liverpool will host the BMC Open Youth Event.
This competition is designed to be a fun and relaxed competition which is open to young competitors born between 1991 and 1998.
The event will also be used as part of the selection process for the British Junior Squad that will compete at 2010 International events and the World Youth Championships, in September 2010.
The Open Youth Competition is open to anyone who is eligible to compete for Great Britain (i.e. holds a GBR passport). Others may be invited at the discretion of the BMC.
Saturday: registration/warm up opens: 8am, closes: 9am. Climbing starts 10:00am.
Route-setting for the competition will be taking place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th November. Several lines including the whole of the back wall will therefore be closed.
During the competition on the Saturday the majority of the lead lines will be closed.
