We have nearly finished painting the lead wall that has been closed this week. Routes will be set on Tuesday and then we will start work on painting the next one.

BMC Leading Ladded

The BMC Leading Ladder will be at Awesome Walls Liverpool from Saturday 29th October to Sunday 13th November 2011. There will be ten routes from grade F5+ to F8a. To take part just turn up with a friend, pay the usual wall entry fee and purchase a scorecard from the wall for only £1.

The BMC Leading Ladder is a fun lead climbing competition that starts in October and runs at 29 UK walls until the end of March, giving you the opportunity to travel around the country and take part in leading competitions right throughout the winter. Sunday Chill Out

We all know it’s nice to chill out on a Sunday evening before the busy week starts. Well why not come to Awesome Wall for a relaxed climbing session where between climbs you can have a coffee, hangout and socialise with other likeminded and climbing addicted people, read a climbing magazine or bring your laptop and surf the web.

Come and climb for fun or, if you have trouble relaxing, with the aim of developing your climbing. The Sunday Night Chill Out takes place every Sunday evening from 5:30pm until 7:30pm so feel free to drop in and have a climb.

The Sunday Night Chill Out is for all abilities and we will be offering at least one instructor to be on hand for coaching purposes if you wish to utilise their expertise. Unlimited tea, coffee and squash will be provided for the duration of the session. All of this for only

£7.00 per head.

All are welcome but under 16s must be accompanied by a competent adult.

Setting Courses at Awesome Walls Climbing Centres

When leading, bouldering or top-roping do you ever wonder what work goes into setting that problem or route? Do you ever curse or praise the setters for there efforts (or lack of!)? Do you think you could do better? Would you like the chance to have a little go just to see what it’s all about?

If you have answered yes to any of the above we could have just the ticket for you!

Awesome Walls Climbing Centres are now offering ‘Setting Courses’ just to get a flavour of what it’s all about!

You will be given an insight of what it takes to create the magic that we put on the walls by one of our expert setters.

You choose whether you would like to do the bouldering, top-roping or leading session.

After your evening of setting, your ‘works of art’ will stay up for a period of time for all your mates and other members to try.

REC First Aid Courses

A practical two day course designed for people who work in theoutdoors or who use the outdoors for pleasure. The course is suitable for Teachers, Outdoor Instructors, Climbers and Canoeists alike. It is recognised as the minimum qualification for MLTUK, ML Summer and Winter Awards, Single Pitch Supervisors Award, RYA, BCU, BASI, ASSI, BOF, and by most other Governing Bodies. Practical scenarios play a big part in this course, including dealing with multiple casualty situations. Light refreshments included.

Cost £80 

Full payment required with booking, 1 weeks notice required for cancellation.
